Where do you work with clients?

I work with clients in their homes and offices in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx. If you live outside of my service area, I’m happy to offer virtual organizing services via phone and Skype.


Why can’t I do this on my own? I’ve tried to get organized, but I never get very far by myself.

So many people feel like organizing is something they should be able to do themselves, but it always turns out to be too overwhelming. Organizing is difficult for different reasons for different people. It often boils down to not knowing where to start, and quickly getting overwhelmed and frustrated. Working with a professional organizer is just like working with a trainer to get in shape. Maybe you could do it on your own, but by working with an experienced professional you’ll get better, longer-lasting results in a much shorter time.


Do I have to help with the organizing?

It’s essential that you be a committed and active participant in the organizing work. After establishing your goals, we’ll work together to devise systems that support your unique challenges and personality, and that you can keep up with after our session. Just imagine if you left, I organized everything in your absence, and then you had no idea where anything is!


Will you come in and make me throw all of my stuff away?

Absolutely not! I’ll never force you to get rid of anything that you’re not comfortable parting with. I will help you learn to evaluate why you’re keeping items and whether or not those things are truly supporting your goals, and encourage you to make decisions that will help you reclaim your space.
